Your statements stay in your browser

Every statement you open is read in your browser's memory, on your own computer. The CSV, Excel and QuickBooks files are written there too. Nothing in this product sends your statements anywhere (the only things that reach us are listed below), and nothing about them is stored: close or reload the page and they're gone.

What does reach us

This is the complete list, the same one the privacy policy shows:

• Email address (only if you submit the signup form)
• Licence key (only if you paste one) — sent to api.avyth.com to verify it, and kept in this browser's storage so it stays unlocked
• Avyth sign-in check — when you open a tab with a paid tier (Convert, Insights, Debt plan) or a bank guide, the page asks api.avyth.com whether an Avyth account is signed in and includes that tool; that request carries your avyth.com sign-in cookie if you have one and the tool's name, nothing else. avyth.com's own privacy policy covers your account
• Checkout request — only when you click Subscribe: the page sends api.avyth.com the line you chose (a tool's own line or Everything) with your avyth.com sign-in cookie if you have one, so the purchase belongs to your account, then takes you to the checkout page. avyth.com's own privacy policy covers your account and payment
• Usage counts — how many times a day the site is viewed, a tool is used, Subscribe is clicked and a checkout opens; one number per day, with no visitor identifier

What stays on your device

• Statements you open: read in this page's memory only, gone when you close or reload the page
• Debt plan figures: saved in this browser's storage after you calculate, so they are there when you come back; clear them any time from the Debt plan tab
• Your light/dark choice: saved in this browser's storage

The balance check and the “My bank didn't work” report

Both run in your browser. In the report, every word from your statement becomes [text], except the column names of a CSV header row that are standard names such as Date, Description or Amount. Every number becomes 9 and a minus sign stays a minus, so digit counts and signs remain. After Unicode normalization, ASCII punctuation and £ € ¥ – — ‘ ’ “ ” … • · × may remain; other symbols become ?. The bank's name appears only if you picked your bank from the list on Convert. The report is shown to you in full to read and edit, then opens an email to support@avyth.com in your own email app. Nothing is sent unless you send that email. The file's name is not in the report.

Questions

Do you see my bank statements?

No. They are read and converted in your browser, and nothing in this product sends them anywhere. If you choose to email us a “My bank didn't work” report, it contains the statement's layout only: every word becomes [text] (except standard CSV column names like Date and Amount) and every number becomes 9.
